What is the Difference Between Near and Far Infrared?

Infrared is part of the spectrum of light. Light is measured by the wavelength in microns. Near infrared is between 1 and 2 microns. Far infrared is from 4-14 microns.

Far infrared resonates with your own body’s natural far infrared.

Your own body emits far infrared in the frequency of 9.4 microns which is far infrared. Because of this, far infrared resonates with your own body’s heat generation. Many studies have been done on far infrared which have shown the many health benefits.

Study shows far infrared’s heat penetrates deeper than near infrared.

In this study Light Therapy tests were done which measured the temperature when near and far infrared penetrated pig and mouse skin. The results showed a greater increase in temperature below the fat layer only with far infrared.

Far Infrared also caused an increase in circulation which can help speed wound healing.

By increasing the circulation in a wound you can speed healing. Far infrared lamps have been used to healing diabetic ulcers, which are hard to heal because of the decreased circulation in people with diabetes.
